They Were Lying About Unemployment
A new and recent article, from Politico, of all people revealed the real number
This is going to be a short article, but deserves discussion. When it comes to exactly how much the media has been lying to the American people about the economy and quality of life, even I didn’t think it was this severe. We all know one or two people that are very talented and simply cannot find meaningful employment.
During the 2024 election cycle, the general electorate knew that things were bad. They voted for Donald BRUMPFT after all. Despite the wailing of the media that unemployment was at a record low. Despite the clear fabrications by the media that consumer confidence was at an all time high. Despite constant propaganda, the majority of voters did, in fact, believe their lying eyes. They acted on information that was available in their lives rather than propaganda.
In a Thomist philosophical sense, the general population is no longer swayed by the lies of the man in the television or on the internet. If they can’t find work and their friends can’t find work, the population will begin to think that maybe no one can find work. Turns out, they were right to ignore the propaganda.
[Book Review] St. Thomas Aquinas
Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274), was a Dominican philosopher in Italia. He was a theologian and friar that lived from 1225 to 1274. That period of history is fascinating to observe in retrospect. In relation to the modern era it has almost none. That era of history is markedly divorced from our own, yet has similar struggles in interpreting reality and theol…
A recent article by Politico, reveals the real number. If one discounts homeless individuals who occasionally get paid for odd jobs, and discounts those making a poverty-level income (25k/year) then we can see with clarity what percentage of the population is effectively unemployed.
You ready?
23.7% or to put it more simply, very nearly one in four.
One in four citizens in the United States was unemployed and democratic lying press was obfuscating that number to make the election more palatable. One in four people in the United States couldn’t make ends meet and they were lying to us about it. I figured the propagandists were full of shit. I thought the real number was closer to 15% unemployment.
No. 1 in 4 people in the United States is actively seeking real employment and unable to find it. The absolute chutzpah of these pressers to lie to the population like this. You’ll get Karen boomers suddenly go from “I know life is hard, but that’s your fault for not working hard.” This is very nearly the Pandemic all over again. Lying press, lies about vaccines, lies about masks, attempts to shut down dissent. The propaganda machine is incredibly powerful.
Mindless automata of a population will believe nearly anything. Finally, finally these liars are starting to lose their power. The population voted based on what was a real thing in their lives instead of imagined numbers. I am still personally livid with those who will deny all wrong doing: “oh, it wasn’t our fault, they lied to us” but I am proud of the majority population that didn’t believe the propagandists.
Those who claim that being lied to recuses them from culpability are the real villains of this national story. Worse even, those who refuse to alter their position even after their world view was proven false. Both attempting to abdicate responsibility for monstrous actions over the last few years. DOGE and the Trump Triumvirate are radically altering the culture… not by changing what people think, but by giving the people a means by which they can express themselves in defiance of an army of hostile and genocidal propagandists.
Things are changing. A little light of truth.
This is more of a stream-of-consciousness rant. Not my usual clinical writing. Absolutely livid that they were lying to us, amazed by the degree to which they were lying to us.
After reading this, I am of two minds.
The first is: Of course they're lying. They're always lying. It's always worse than they say
The second is: All unemployment stats are fake and gay, and just because this one confirms my biases, doesn't mean I think it's any less fake and gay.
I don't have a point. I'm just sharing my gut check
1/3 of the male population isn't working at all (this is a different number from unemployment, it's labor participation ie people who have stopped looking for any reason.) So you combine these two and half the population isn't really economically participating.
Which is pretty close to what the world actually looks like anecdotally/intuitively.
The only shortage we have in the US is a shortage of collaboration.
